The language you select affects both how your agent understands spoken input (speech-to-text) and how it generates spoken output (text-to-speech). Choosing the right language and transcriber combination ensures accurate recognition and natural-sounding responses.

## Transcribers

Synthflow supports two transcribers for speech-to-text:

* **Deepgram** -- a robust transcription service with strong English language support.
* **Synthflow STT** -- Synthflow's native speech-to-text engine.

  We recommend using 

  **Synthflow STT**

   for non-English languages for optimal transcription accuracy.
