# Update a phone book entry

PUT https://api.synthflow.ai/v2/phonebooks/{phone_book_id}/entries/{entry_id}
Content-Type: application/json

Replace the phone number and transfer condition of a phone book entry. Both fields are required. A phone number must be unique within its phone book.

## Authentication

- `Authorization` header (bearer token, required) — Bearer authentication of the form `Bearer <token>`, where token is your auth token.

### Path parameters

- `phone_book_id` (string, required) — Phone book ID.
- `entry_id` (string, required) — The ID of the phone book entry you want to update.

### Body (application/json)

This endpoint expects an object.

- `phone_number` (string, required)
- `transfer_condition` (string, required)

- `status` (string, optional) — Whether the request was successful.

## Errors

### 400 Bad Request Error

A field is missing or invalid, another entry in the phone book already has the phone number, or the entry ID is not in the phone book.

### 404 Not Found Error

No phone book with that ID exists in the workspace.
