## Current date and time system variable

Agents now have access to the current date and time on every call. The new `{agent_current_time}` [system variable](/variables#system-variables) returns it in the agent's [timezone](/general-configuration#timezone) as ISO 8601 with a UTC offset, and works in prompts and [custom actions](/about-custom-actions#variables).
