Set a custom domain
Setting up a custom domain ensures that your site is properly configured for branding and search engine optimization. By following the steps outlined, you can effectively connect your desired domain, enhance your online presence with a logo, and optimize your site’s metadata for better visibility.
Connect your Domain
DNS Server Requirements
To ensure SSL certificates can be automatically generated and renewed, your domain’s DNS server must support CAA (Certification Authority Authorization) record queries. If your DNS provider or internal DNS system does not support CAA queries, automated certificate generation (via Synthflow’s infrastructure) will fail.
💡 Tip: Most modern DNS providers (e.g., Cloudflare, Google Domains, AWS Route 53) already support CAA records. If you’re using an on-premise or legacy DNS server, verify this capability before connecting your domain.
Update Site Metadata
Once the DNS changes take effect, you can set key information that improves your site’s visibility and appearance in search results.
Removing or Disconnecting a Domain
Selecting this option will disassociate your domain from Synthflow and remove all related configurations, including routes, files, and metatags.
